STDR-21 UNIVERSAL ROTARY DEEP ROLLING TOOL
Rotary roller burnishing tool for external surfaces with die steel rollers is installed in the turret head of the CNC lathe machine center or tool post of the conventional lathe.
Workpiece surfaces are rolled to an accuracy of Ra 0.1 using speed rates corresponding to finishing methods.
The maximum spring force is 120-140kg (1200 - 1400 N).
The tool is available in several versions
STDR21-25x25
STDR21-20x20
STDR21-32x25
The presence of an elastic element ensures a constant rolling force at any point on the work surface.
The rotary single-roller tool is simple and versatile, but requires a significant working force which is fully absorbed by the machine's assemblies.
The change in surface size during rolling is caused by volume deformation of the workpiece due to micro-roughness elimination.
The reverse stroke should not be used as a working stroke, since repeated passes in opposite directions can result in excessive deformation of the surface layer.
Deep rolling increases the fatigue limit of parts by 80% or more, having a favorable effect on part performance.
Reducing machining costs:
Exclude nonproductive operations and auxiliary equipment items.
Burnishing on CNC lathe machine centers and conventional lathes.
Finish the surface from Ra 0.6 to Ra 0.1.
Economical tool life with die steel rollers.
